Up to 20+ SEER2
Older units run around 8–10 SEER. A new high-efficiency air conditioner does the same cooling on a fraction of the electricity, and that shows up on the bill every hot month, not just once.
Rockit HVAC replaces and installs high-efficiency air conditioners across Grand Rapids and West Michigan. Family-owned, obsessive about the details, and honest about what your home actually needs. Beat the next heat wave. Free quotes, financing available.
If your air conditioner is 10+ years old, running loud, or struggling on the hot days, a modern high-efficiency system cools better for less, and takes the July breakdown off the table.
Older units run around 8–10 SEER. A new high-efficiency air conditioner does the same cooling on a fraction of the electricity, and that shows up on the bill every hot month, not just once.
Two-stage and variable-speed systems run longer and gentler, so they actually pull the humidity out of that sticky Michigan air instead of just blasting cold. No more clammy rooms over the garage.
Aging condensers quit on the hottest day of the year. That's not luck, that's load. A new system takes that gamble off the table for the next couple of decades.
New systems run on today's low-GWP refrigerant (R-454B), not the R-410A that's being phased down. Replace now and you're not buying into a dead-end system where the refrigerant only gets pricier.
Qualifying high-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps can earn utility and federal efficiency rebates. We tell you what's on the table the week you buy and fill out the paperwork for you.
New systems carry a manufacturer parts warranty (10 years on most, compressor included), and we register it for you so it's actually valid when you need it.
An AC is only as good as the install. Most callbacks and warm-house complaints come from a system that was guessed at, not sized, or a charge that was eyeballed instead of weighed. We do it the right way, every time.
Rockit HVAC installs Comfortmaker® air conditioners and systems across West Michigan, high-efficiency equipment our crew is factory-trained and certified to install and service. Certified on the exact systems we install means we're not figuring yours out on the job. Every new AC is backed by a manufacturer's limited warranty, and we handle the registration so it's valid when you need it.
Comfortmaker offers a Limited Warranty. 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty (air conditioner), including the compressor: timely registration required; the limited warranty period is 5 years for parts if not registered within 90 days of installation. See warranty certificate for details and restrictions.
New construction is a core part of what we do. Rockit HVAC installs air conditioning and full HVAC systems for new homes, additions, and design-build projects across West Michigan, working from the blueprints with builders, general contractors, and homeowners so the cooling is sized and laid out right before the walls ever close up.

Grand Rapids and about forty minutes out. Don't see your town? Call us. Odds are we're out there already.
It depends on the size of your home, the efficiency level, and whether the coil or any ductwork needs to change. We quote a fixed, written price after a real Manual J load calculation (three itemized options with the monthly payment printed next to each), so you see the number before anything is ordered.
Most AC replacements are a one-day job. We cover the floors, recover the old refrigerant, pull the old condenser and coil, set and braze in the new system, pull a vacuum, weigh in the exact charge, and test it before we leave.
A quick rule of thumb: multiply the AC's age by the repair cost. Past about $5,000, the repair stops paying for itself. Air conditioners over 10–15 years old (especially older R-410A units where refrigerant is getting expensive) are usually better replaced than patched.
Sometimes, and we'll be straight with you about it. A new AC has to be matched to your indoor coil and blower to hit its rated efficiency and keep the warranty valid. If your furnace is also near the end, doing both together often costs less than two separate visits. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
Not immediately. Your current unit keeps running, and R-410A is still available to service it. But it's being phased down, so that refrigerant gets pricier and harder to get over time. New systems we install run on today's low-GWP refrigerant (R-454B), so a replacement now isn't buying into a dead-end system.
